BACKSPACE

Hello!

This is my idea for today. This can be for a short-film or a novel or a fan fiction story and etc.

BACKSPACE

Jenna is not a social butterfly. She doesn’t like going out after school and meeting new people. For her, it’s enough to have few friends and a family. One day, her best friend urged her to find a potential friend or even flame online. She’s hesitant at first because she’s not fond of the first awkward stages of getting to know a person especially in a virtual world.

First, she “met” Aries, a sweet guy who turned out to be a cold dessert. Jenna was frustrated on how Aries “dumped” her that easily. After that, she met other guys online who are just total douchebags, more douche-y than Aries.

Then one night, she had a five hour chat with Jon, a foreigner studying in the Philippines. He promised to keep in touch and Jenna thought it was true…

Jenna waited for days that became weeks and eventually became months. She was utterly sad and disappointed on how these people can be approachable online when in fact, they can’t even connect in real life.

Through a series of frustration, sadness and moving on, Jenna will realize that she can’t expect others to be sweet, open and honest just because she’s one and that in life, it’s better to find love offline.

Actually, this story shows how the CMC Theory works and why physical intimacy is a key in creating relationships. It is somehow inspired by real life events and it will teach us the value of evaluating which relationships or connections are worth keeping or not.

Thank you for reading!
