Anti-Hero

Good evening!

The idea for this post was from the Animes--- Shingeki No Kyojin, Assassination Classroom and Tokyo Ghoul. The similarity of these Animes (aside from being my personal favorites) is that they all have an ANTI-HERO protagonist. And with that, I tried to come up with my own anti-hero story, minus the titans, an octopus teacher and well, coffee loving ghouls.

Detention Club

Ares is a class bully. He often pokes fun of his classmates and the teachers as well. Not a year goes by that a teacher will resign from the job because of him. Although some of the girls like him, he doesn’t seem interested and is better off skipping classes, tripping the Student Council President at the hallway and hang around at the Guidance Councilor’s office. Despite of his good looks, intelligence, athleticism and wealthy family background, Karma chooses to stray off the path his dad made for him.

Karma is the good boy gone bad. He used to be a diligent student and a promising member of the fine arts club until he got pressured by his family when his older brother became a doctor. They discourage him from writing “useless” poetry, drawing “shallow” painting and etc. that turned him to be friends with Ares and rebel against his family. From canvas to walls, Karma is often called by the principal for the vandals in the walls, nude paintings displayed at the library, erotic literature submissions for the student paper and so on. For Karma, his art knows no cage, chains and other kinds of restraints.

Divine is a transferee from a prestigious school. She was involved in a bullying incident that made her transfer to a new school to prevent her from being bullied and framed up again. But despite her unfortunate incident, Divine remained kind and gentle. Because of her exemplary manners, she was tasked by her homeroom adviser to influence Ares and Karma into studying. Reluctant at first, Divine soon find herself not giving up to change her classmates. But with their liberating perspectives, Divine will realize that these guys were not just nuisance, they are people with so much potential waiting to be accepted, noticed and encouraged. And with that, Divine will get the taste of the good and the bad with her (not so) heroes.

Thank you for reading!
