Hello to you! (Yes, you)
WELCOME TO MY IDEA BLOG!!!
In here, I will write any idea
that will pop into my mind whether I’m eating, on the way home, listening to
music or in the middle of a class discussion. This idea blog intends to be my
story journal---the stories I want to come to life someday. This is also a class requirement for our Introduction to Media Writing Class...but first of all, let
me introduce myself.
*ahem*
So, my name is Pauleen. I am 19 years
old and currently a third year AB Communication student. I love to
read books, listen to music, watch home shopping channels, fan girl to my
favorite artists, eat chicken, and study Asian culture. I am also left-handed,
a Gemini and I am afraid of lizards and heights.
If you’re wondering what type of
books I read, movies I watch or music I listen to, then my answer is I don’t
have any particular genre that I like…I basically read, watch and listen to
anything just as long as I like it, regardless of its popularity and language
(Subs are my BFF). It usually depends on my mood swings…because there are days
when I feel like I just want to listen to rock and nothing more and the next
day, I’ll see myself dancing to pop music. But, I am more inclined to the Asian
culture (I love Asia especially its cuisine and yes, it’s also because I’m
Asian hehe.) And as we go along, you’ll realize that majority of my post will
be about my favorites and why it is related to my ideas.
Anyway, I named my blog Xiao Pau
because “Xiao” means “small” in Chinese Mandarin and my full first name,
Pauleen, means “small” in Latin. So in translation, my blog title is “Small
Small.”
In pictures, my blog will look a
little something like this:

And some posts about my personal story inspirations and fan fictions...
For my first idea to share…well,
this one is kind of short but the germ for the story is about a group of young
high school students (let’s say they are 12-15 years old) who dreams of
becoming a famous rock band. Without enough money for musical instruments,
studio rental fees, contest registration fees, support from parents, and an age
bracket that is “too young” for this kind of industry, the group will together
experience exploring the amateur stages of being a band along with the
struggles, the joys, and the thrill of chasing a still impossible dream.
(I can already imagine them writing songs during class discussions and pitching their ideas during their lunch break. They will also borrow CDs and playlists to each other and watch gigs without parental consent. Lol.)
So what do you guys think? (I
used to be in a band when I was in high school too. Hehe).
You may leave a comment or any suggestions. Thank you for reading!
